SERVICE
-
Up to 8 weeks of care – your pet will live in my home, in a safe, comfortable, and appropriately restricted environment.
-
All discharge instructions will be closely followed, including cool/warm compress, massage, & passive range of motion exercises.
-
For the first few days immediately following the procedure I will prepare your dog homemade meals of a bland protein of your choice (observing any dietary restrictions) and rice. I do this because anesthesia can cause nausea and being intubated can cause discomfort swallowing dry kibble. After this I will transition them to their regular diet which owner is to provide.
-
All medications will be administered as instructed by the prescribing veterinarian. I will have greenies pill pockets available to use with owner’s permission.
-
Daily updates and photos will be sent via text or email! Scheduled visits are available as well observing Covid-19 precautions.
-
A Help Em’ Up harness will be available for use immediately following your pet’s procedure, until the end of their stay with me. This harness is a staple in the canine rehabilitation world. Learn more about it here. If the owner feels that they would like to order one for the remainder of their rehabilitation journey, I will fit the harness to your dog at no additional charge.
